Site Hierarchies

Xenial Cloud Portal Settings and Tools Site Hierarchies

Use Site Hierarchies to define a hierarchical relationship between sites in the company and facilitate Sites management. User permissions to view reports and edit site settings are based on the respective level of the site in the hierarchy.

Expand/collapse the left menu pane.

Create Hierarchy

Create a new site hierarchy record.

Search

In the Search field, type criteria to search for a specific record.

View

From the View dropdown, select the desired view. A "view" is a collection of filters and sort settings to apply to the record list.

Number of Records per Page

From the Page dropdown, select the number of records to list on a single page.

Page Controls

  • In the provided field, type the page number to view.

  • Select the left and right arrow buttons to navigate the pages of the record list.

3-Dot Menu

From the dropdown, select an action to perform on the site hierarchy:

  • Edit - Edit the properties of the site hierarchy including the assigned sites.

  • Delete - Delete the site hierarchy record.

Create Site Hierarchy

Site hierarchies are available for selection from the Hierarchy dropdown on the Sites list and the Site Selector, which are used with Data Management editors.

To create a site hierarchy:

  1. From the upper-right of the Site Hierarchies homepage, select Create Hierarchy.

  2. In the Hierarchy Name field, type the site hierarchy name.

  3. Add a level to the hierarchy:

    • From the Hierarchy Levels section, select Add Level.

    • In the Level Name field, type a name for the hierarchy level.

    • From the Parent dropdown, select the parent level, which is the level directly above the new level.

      To add the new level as the top level of the hierarchy, select None.

    • From the lower-right of the Add Level window, select Save.

  4. Add sites to the hierarchy level:

    • To the right of the level in the Hierarchy Levels section, select the 3-dot menu

    • From the 3-dot menu, select Manually Add Sites

    • From the Site Selector, select the sites to add to the level. Only sites not already assigned to a hierarchy level are listed.

    • From the lower-right of the Site Selector, select Select [#] Sites.

  5. Repeat steps 3-4 to add additional hierarchy levels.

  6. Once the site hierarchy is complete, select Save.

Astuce

Select and drag hierarchy levels to reorganize the hierarchy as needed.
