The following describes the settings on the Cells page of the Kitchen Screen Settings editor.

Cell Header Settings
To use a template for kitchen cell headers, define the following settings:

Use Header Template | Toggle Yes to use a specific template for kitchen cell headers. |
Select Header Template | From the dropdown, select the kitchen cell header template. To create a template, see Header & Footer Templates. |
Enable Super Headers | Toggle Yes to display a super header on the kitchen ticket. A super header is a visual indicator that notifies the kitchen staff when an order does not require preparation, such as a Cleared, Deleted, or Voided order. |
Enable Assigned Fulfillment Point Header | Toggle Yes to display the assigned fulfillment point in the kitchen cell header. The fulfillment point is the location at the site where the guest goes to fulfill their order, such as an Order Pickup window. |
To NOT use a template for kitchen cell headers, define the following settings:

Show Full Destination Name | Toggle Yes to display the full name of the order destination assigned to the order. Displaying the full name may enable the kitchen staff to more quickly recognize the order destination. |
Show Customer Name | Toggle Yes to display the customer name associated with the order (when applicable). |
Show Terminal ID | Toggle Yes to display the ID of the Ordering application terminal from which the order was sent. |
Show Server Name | Toggle Yes to display the name of the server who entered the order. |
Show Cashier Name | Toggle Yes to display the name of the cashier who entered the order. |
Show Table Number | Toggle Yes to display the table number associated with the order. |
Show Table Tent Number | Toggle Yes to display the table tent number associated with the order. |
Show Course Names | Toggle Yes to display the order items for each course on separate kitchen tickets when an order is made up of different courses (i.e. Appetizer, Entree, Dessert). The respective course name is identified in the ticket header. Each ticket is associated with the same order number. |
Show Expo Number | Toggle Yes to display the expo number associated with the order. An Expo number is a short number that is used to easily identify an order. It is typically communicated to the customer when they place their order and later called out to them when their order is ready. Using expo numbers to identify orders is easier and faster than using the longer order number or capturing the customer's name. |
Show Vehicle Info | Toggle Yes to display the customer's vehicle color and type. This information is captured from the Customer Details screen of the Ordering application. |
Show Vehicle ID | This setting is only available when Show Vehicle Info is toggled Yes. Toggle Yes to display the Vehicle ID in the cell header when the vehicle is identified by DTD Vision. |
Enable Super Headers | Toggle Yes to display a super header on the kitchen ticket. A super header is a visual indicator that notifies the kitchen staff when an order does not require preparation, such as a Cleared, Deleted, or Voided order. |

Show Order Source | Toggle Yes to display the order source (e.g. Mobile App, Web Site, Restaurant Terminal) associated with the order. Select Add Order Sources to select the order sources to identify in the cell header. |
Show Hold Timer | Toggle Yes to display the Hold Timer. The Hold Timer specifies the amount of time an order has been sitting in the ‘Hold’ area awaiting customer arrival. The Hold Timer is triggered on a designated screen when items from a corresponding order are bumped from its related upstream screens. When the elapsed hold time exceeds the defined warning and overdue times, a visual and audio alert is triggered. |
Cell Footer Settings
Setting | Description |

Show Item Count | Toggle Yes to display the total number of order items. When enabled, the Item Count Type dropdown appears. From the dropdown, select the desired option:

Show Pickup Date | Toggle Yes to display the date/time or day part when the customer will pick up their order. When enabled, the Countdown Timer toggle appears. Enable this toggle to display a countdown timer that indicates the amount of time (MM:SS) that is left until the order's defined Pickup Time. The countdown timer enables the kitchen staff to determine at a glance how much time they have to prepare the order. |
Reference Original Order | Toggle Yes to display a visual indicator for orders that were combined or split at the Ordering application. The indicator includes the original order number. See also the following related settings in the Display section of the General Kitchen Settings editor:

Show Order Total | Toggle Yes to display the order total (currency amount due). |
Show Tips | Toggle Yes to display the customer tip amount. |
Cell Body
Setting | Description |

Always Bump Indicator Ready | Toggle Yes to set the upstream indicator for all order items to the ready position. |
Default Font Size | From the dropdown, select the default font size for the kitchen ticket text. The default is Small. |
Display Changes In Order | Toggle Yes to display order updates in the kitchen. If the order is updated at the POS after the order is sent to the kitchen, the order updates are displayed in the kitchen in real-time. |
Enable Hierarchy | Toggle Yes to display order items in a hierarchical view. If disabled, all order items are displayed on the same level. |
Filter Bump Indicator | Toggle Yes to NOT display upstream indicators for order items that do not have upstreams. |
Group by Segment | Toggle Yes to group order items on kitchen tickets in relation to their assigned seat/tray. |
Identical Items Display Method | From the dropdown, select the method for displaying identical order items in the kitchen cell.
The changed quantity of existing claimed / completed items are displayed as separate items to better enable the kitchen staff to quickly determine which items to prepare. |
Item Priority | Define how order items are sorted on a kitchen ticket to ensure the kitchen staff prepares orders in the most expeditious manner. Enable Item Priority to sort order items in the following sequence:

Keep Discounts | Toggle Yes to display order discounts on the kitchen ticket.

Segment Name | Type the name to identify order segments on the kitchen ticket. For example: Bag, Seat, Tray. |
Show Children | Toggle Yes to display child items (i.e. side items, beverages). |
Show Children as Parent | Toggle Yes to detach child items from their parent item and display child items like parent items. |
Show Deleted Items | Toggle Yes to display deleted items (itemstate=VOIDED). |
Show Modifiers | From the dropdown, select the desired option:

Show Quantity Value of 1 for Item | When the order item quantity is 1 (one), display a "1" next to the item. When this toggle is set to No, a quantity value is not displayed when the order item quantity is 1 (one). |
Show Upstream Indicators | Toggle Yes to enforce upstream bumping. Display upstream indicators next to each order item to indicate its upstream status. Upstream bumping enables the staff to control the sequence in which order items are bumped from kitchen displays to ensure a customer's order is fulfilled completely and correctly. |
Show Watermark | Toggle Yes to display kitchen ticket watermarks in row view. |
Item Events

Timing
Setting | Description |

Overdue After in Seconds | Define the number of seconds that must pass after an order arrives in the kitchen before it is considered overdue. When an order is overdue, the timer flashes red and yellow. NoteSee also Show Pickup Date in the Footer Fields section above. |
Warning After in Seconds | Specify when the countdown timer for a Future Order changes color (yellow background and red text) to alert the kitchen staff that the order is nearly overdue. In the provided field, type the number of seconds before an order's Pickup Time to change the timer colors. |
Retry Count | Type the number of times the kitchen application should try to reconnect to the server if the server does not respond. |
Timing for Hold Timer
The Hold Timer specifies the amount of time an order has been sitting in the ‘Hold’ area awaiting customer arrival. The Hold Timer is triggered on a designated screen when items from a corresponding order are bumped from its related upstream screens.

Animation

Pending Animation | Select Add Animation Options to select the order states that should display the pending animation "..." on the kitchen ticket. The "..." animation is displayed while the order is in a Pending state. Set the Enable Premature Order Animation toggle to Yes to play a 'Waiting' animation when the timer is disabled. |
