To configure kitchen ticket header and footer templates:
From the Kitchen Settings menu, select Header & Footer Templates.
From the Header & Footer Templates screen, select Create Template.
Naming Settings
From the Naming section, define the following:

Name | Type a name for the template. |
Description | Type a description of the template. |
Layout Preview | From this field, see a preview of the configured layout template. |
Layout Settings
From the Layout section, add and customize the contents to display in each row of the kitchen ticket header. The first row in the header is named "Row 1".
To add a row:
From the dropdown in the upper-right of the Layout section, select Add Row.
To add contents to a row:
From the Layout section, locate the row.
From the right of the row, select the 3-dots menu.
From the dropdown, select Add Data.
From the Add Data window, select one or more items to display in the row. The following describes the available items:
Item
Description
Panel ID
Sequential number assigned to each kitchen ticket.
Order Status
Current state of the order at the POS.
Full Order Number
Order number assigned to the order at the POS.
Expo Number
Expo number assigned to the order at the POS.
An Expo number is a short number that is used to easily identify an order. It is typically communicated to the customer when they place their order and later called out to them when their order is ready.
Using expo numbers to identify orders is easier and faster than using the longer order number or capturing the customer's name.
Short Destination Name
Short name defined for the order destination.
Full Destination Name
Full name of the order destination. Display the full name to enable the kitchen staff to more quickly recognize the order destination.
Order Timer
Amount of time since the order arrived in the kitchen.
Hold Timer
The Hold Timer is the amount of time the order has been sitting in the ‘Hold’ area awaiting customer arrival. The Hold Timer starts when the order is bumped from the upstream screens.
When the elapsed hold time exceeds the defined warning and overdue times, a visual and audio alert is triggered.
Order Source
Order source (e.g. Mobile App, Web Site, Restaurant Terminal) associated with the order.
Customer Name
Customer name associated with the order (when applicable).
Vehicle
Customer's vehicle color and type.
Table Number
Table number associated with the order.
Tent Number
Table tent number associated with the order.
Cashier Name
Name of the cashier who entered the order.
Server Name
Name of the server who entered the order.
Terminal ID
ID of the POS terminal where the order was entered.
Course Names
Order items for each course on separate kitchen tickets when an order is made up of different courses (i.e. Appetizer, Entree, Dessert).
Each ticket is associated with the same order number.
From the lower-right of the Add Data window, select Add # Items. The selected items are added to the Layout section.
To the left of the listed items, select and drag the control to sort the items in the desired sequence.
To customize header row data:
From the Layout section, locate the data.
From the right of the data row, select the 3-dots menu.
From the dropdown, select Customize Data.
From the Customize window, define the following:

Description
Row Span
From the dropdown, select the number of header rows to span with this data.
This field is only available for the first header row. This field is not available if the header includes only one row.
Alignment
From the dropdown, select the desired cell alignment option.
Width Sizing
From the dropdown, select the desired option:
Fill Available - Fill the available space on the row with the data.
Fixed Width % - Fit the data within the specified percentage of the available space. In the Fix Width % field, type the percentage.
From the lower-right of the Customize window, select OK.
(Optional) Create an alternate group of header row data to display in the event the default data is unavailable for an order. To create an alternate group of header row data:
From the Layout section, locate the data.
From the right of the data row, select the 3-dots menu.
From the dropdown, select Create Alternative Group.
Add and customize data for the alternate group as needed.
Once a header & footer template is created, assign the template to a kitchen screen. See Kitchen Cell Settings.
