Genius Point of Sale (POS) | Age Restrictions for Products/Modifiers

PRMA-4163

Added support for restricting item sales by age, prompting age restricted items to require birthdate of customer to be entered before purchase and preventing sale of specific items to underage customers.

Data Management

Added Restriction Age setting to Product editor Modifier editor. Toggle Age Restriction to Yes to define the minimum age required to sell the product/modifier.

From the Availability → Restriction Age section of Product List and Modifier List, define the following:

  • Restrict Age - Restrict the purchase of this product by age

  • Age Value - Minimum age to purchase this product

From the Ordering Application → Ordering → Age Restriction section of Company/Site Preferences, define the following:

  • Age Verification Method - Select the preferred method to verify age when age restricted products are added to an order.

Genius Point of Sale (POS)

Restrict purchase of specific products by age. Optionally prompt POS user to ask customer for ID and verify their birthdate when specific products are added to an order.

Genius Portal

Enabled authorization of Point Of Sale employees to validate customer age with new permission Confirm Customer Age (AgeVerification.CustomerAge.Confirm) in POS section at Global level.

Added the ability to restrict purchase of specific products by age on Online Ordering.

Genius Point of Sale (POS) | Conditional Taxation Enhancements

Genius Point of Sale (POS) now automatically adjusts tax charged for products configured with child-items.

Portal → 4-Dot Menu → Data Management → Ordering Settings → Settings → Preferences → Company Preferences → Online Ordering

New configuration Injected Order Child Item Rollup Pricing to determine if the child items pricing will be rollup to the parent product on injected orders. Toggle Yes rollup child item pricing to the parent product on an injected order.

Online Ordering

  • Enhanced calculation of proper tax and discount amount by updating to configure child-item types with all items for calculation.

  • Enhanced configuration of child items in orders with the following actions:

    • Enable consumption of child item_type for all items places as child items in order. Items with other item type are not affected

    • If rollup pricing is enabled, child item item_type is set to child for products formerly with product_type as standard

    • If rollup pricing is not enabled, child items with item_type as standard will remain so for products with product_type of standard

  • Enabled updating of child items with standard product_type to be updated to child item_type.

Point of Sale

  • Point of Sale now automatically adjusts tax charged for products configured with child-items.

Genius Point of Sale (POS) | Fundraiser Events

PRMA-6439

Added the ability to support fundraiser events and report sales associated with the event.

Enabled user configuration of fundraising events with the following actions:

  • Add new toggle settings Allow for Donation and Allow for Fundraiser to create/edit Donation entity form

  • When Allow for Fundraiser is set to Yes, hide settings Allow On Donation Prompt and Donation Amounts grid

  • Add new Fundraising subsection to create/edit Product view in Ordering Options with Allow for Fundraising toggle settings

Online Ordering

Orders from third party integrations are now taggable.

Point of Sale (POS)

  • Consume DM configurations for the Fundraiser

  • Consume Product-level configuration saying if the product’s sale percentage is qualifiable for the Fundraiser

  • Automatically attach the qualifying Fundraiser to the current order by the qualification rules defined.

Genius Portal

Added support for administrators to manage Fundraising Events with the following new group/permissions at the Company and Global levels:

  • New group Giving in Data Management Ordering Settings

  • New subgroup Fundraising Events in Giving group

  • Add Fundraising Event (fundraising-event.Add)

  • Delete Fundraising Event (fundraising-event.Delete)

  • Manage Fundraising Event (fundraising-event.Manage)

Added setting that enables pausing of the UberEats integration on the POS system for specified time intervals.
