Post to General Ledger

Use the Post to G/L utility to extract Inventory and Cash data from an XBO module and export the data into a file in accordance with specified settings.

Stores / Dates

Select stores and/or store groups and the business week for the data export.

Search Stores

Look for a specific store based on Store # or Store Name.

Week to Date

Type the starting and ending dates or select the calendar icon to open the period / date picker.

Fiscal Year

Type the one (1) year accounting period for the site.

Fiscal Period

Type the 12-month period to account for all transactions on the site.

View Posting Report

  • Check to open the report after exporting.

  • Uncheck to NOT open the report after exporting.

Inventory Posting File

Type a name for the Inventory data export file, including the file name extension (for example: Inventory.csv).

Cash Posting File

Type a name for the Cash data export file, including the file name extension (for example: Cash.csv).

Export

Select Export to launch the data export process.

Post to General Ledger

To post to the General Ledger:

  1. From the Stores / Dates field in the upper-left of the Post to General Ledger screen, select the stores and/or store groups.

  2. In the Week to Date field, type the starting and ending dates - OR - select the calendar icon to open the period / date picker.

  3. In the Fiscal Year field, type the one (1) year accounting period for the site.

  4. In the Fiscal Period field, type the 12-month accounting period for all transactions on the site.

  5. Select View Posting Report to generate and view the general ledger report after the accounting files have been posted.

  6. In the Inventory Posting File field, type a name for the Inventory data export file, including the file name extension (for example: Inventory.csv).

  7. To the right of the Inventory Posting File field, select Export to launch the data export process.

  8. In the Cash Posting File field, type a name for the Cash data export file, including the file name extension (for example: Inventory.csv).

  9. To the right of the Cash Posting File field, select Export to launch the data export process.
