DataSync
![]() |
DataSync allows each terminal to operate as an independent unit. In the event of data loss, DataSync uses the local network to restore the terminal(s).
Terminals do not have a single master server, which results in a need to replicate the single state of all generated data between the terminals within a single site. The data replication is necessary to create a separate module which is responsible for synchronizing data between the terminals.
The Datasync documentation includes the following sections:
DataSync Process Flow: A list of the tasks DataSync performs.
DataSync Objects: The object formats for DataSync.
DataSync Feeds: The feeds for point-of-sale (POS) and Kitchen Management (KM).
DataSync Network: The protocols Datasync Network uses to receive and send messages.
DataSync Local Terminal Status Notifications: The type of local terminal status notifications used by DataSync.
DataSync Data Comparison: The stages DataSync uses to determine the difference between the data of two or more terminals.
DataSync Configuration: The parameters for DataSync's configuration.
DataSync Database: The data requirements for DataSync.
DataSync Sequence Diagrams: The sequence diagrams for the DataSync flows.
