Configure the Sign-in Method in Data Management

External Application login supports two sign-in methods: Combo and User ID Only.

To configure the sign-in method:

  1. From the Portal, navigate to Data Management → Preferences → Set company defaults.

  2. From Default Company Preferences, scroll down to External Application.

  3. From External Application, select the dropdown menu for Item Count Sign-in Method and select from the two choices:

    • Combo - If selected, on the point of sale (POS) device, select the application entrance by the System Navigation/Application list, then go to the login page, which requires a user ID and PIN.

    • User ID Only - If selected, the login requires the user ID only.

  4. From Default Company Preferences, scroll up and select Apply from the upper right corner of the page to save the settings.
