Digital Menu Board | Permissions

PRMA-2931

Established flexible roles and permission structure for for Digital Menu Board (DMB) users and aligned them with the available subscription tiers.

Cloud Portal

  • Hide Digital Menu Board option when all DMB permissions are disabled.

  • Enhanced access and management of Dayparts with the following new permissions at the company and global levels:

    • View Dayparts (Dayparts.xdmb.View)

    • Add Daypart (Dayparts.xdmb.Add)

    • Edit Daypart (Dayparts.xdmb.Edit)

    • Delete Daypart (Dayparts.xdmb.Delete)

  • Added logic based on Cloud Portal permissions for the following:

Kitchen Management | Maintenance Notification and Recovery Process

PRMA-2499

New maintenance notification and recovery process for Kitchen Management, which includes steps like software updates, configuration data refresh, and managing uninstalled stations.

Added new field Last Maintenance Run to Kitchen Management device Station Information beneath Last Refresh field.

Data Management

Enabled users to define maintenance retry duration by adding new Maintenance Retry Duration (Minutes) setting to General Kitchen Settings, with properties Type; Displayed as required on DM UI; Available Values; Default Value; Min Value; Max Value; Tooltip.

Portal → 4-Dot Menu → Data Management → Kitchen Settings → General Kitchen Settings

From the General section of the General Kitchen Settings editor, define the following:

  • Maintenance Retry Duration (Minutes) - If scheduled maintenance does not start successfully, Kitchen retries maintenance within the specified number of minutes.

Kitchen Management

If kitchen maintenance does not complete successfully at a station, a notification and warning icon appear in the screen footer.

From Station Info:

  • See Maintenance Last Run for the date/time maintenance last completed successfully at a station.

  • Select Update Now to run maintenance manually,

If maintenance time is updated in Data Management, maintenance is not run again if it already completed successfully that day.

Maintenance runs automatically on startup if a terminal was unavailable for maintenance during its scheduled time.

Point of Sale | Additional Modifier Build Information

Added additional Modifier Build information to Order Items to allow downstream applications like Reports and Kitchen to be aware of the build.

Portal → 4-Dot Menu → Data Management → Kitchen Settings → Kitchen Screen Settings

Configure the following settings from the Cell Body section of the Cells page of the Kitchen Screen Settings editor:

When Show Modifiers is enabled, the following setting is available:

  • Show Build Modifiers - Display modifiers for all builds (e.g. Default, Plain, Custom).

When Show Build Modifiers is enabled, the following setting is available:

  • Show Build Names - Display modifier build names on kitchen screens.

Configure kitchen screens to display modifiers for default and custom builds to improve order accuracy.

  • New Order Object specifies the Build Modifier item type

New option in the Modifier Analysis Report to Include Build Modifiers. Toggle Yes to include Build Modifier(s) for an Order Object.

Point of Sale | Recording of Approvals

PRMA-3697

Approvers for transactions applied to an order/item that requires an approval are now stored in the Order Object and included in Reports.

Point of Sale | Substitute Priced Modifiers

PRMA-6187

Update the Point of Sale (POS) Price Engine to treat modifier variants with action = no as zero quantity of that modifier in the Child Item Pricing rules.

Examples:

  • Item #1 comes with cheese as a add on cost. There are two types of cheeses available, American and Pepper Jack. The base recipe defaults to American cheese.  This update allows the user to substitute the cheese and replace with Pepper Jack at no additional cost.

  • A Ham and Cheese Sandwich comes with Ham and an addition of Turkey comes at a $0.99 upcharge. The customer wants to replace with the Ham for no up-charge. Adding the Turkey without replacing Ham would include the $0.99 upcharge. However, replacing the Ham with the Turkey would treat the substitution as a zero quantity modifier, not applying the upcharge.

Suite Catering | Favorites Feature Enhancement

Favorites are now saved in a template format similar to Par Stock templates.

  • Enhanced user management of favorites information with the following new popup functionalities:

    • Enable admin to remove favorite templates in a normal account

    • Enable admin to change account to temporary guest account

    • Enable admin to deactivate account

    • Enable admin to remove a favorite

  • Enhanced Favorites page to be more consistent with Par Stock Templates with the following actions:

    • Add Save as Favorite button to Action column. If Advanced Day Order items are on template, Name Your Favorite popup displays. Save as Favorite button is disabled for Guest orders

    • After new Favorite template is saved, green toast displays on Orders tab

    • User can rank Favorites in Favorite tab by dragging icon. User can use Edit button to review Advanced Day Order items on Review Order Favorites page

    • Remove Favorite Order feature from Archived orders tab

    • When Order is finished, Save as Favorite button displays for user to save order to order Favorite template

    • For each Favorite template first 3 items display. For more than 3 products, View More icon displays, navigating to Favorite Summary popup

  • Added support for informing user about invalid Advanced Day Ordering items on Favorite Template while retaining ability to save template. Yes button creates order, Cancel button returns to Create New Order popup.

Suite Catering | Miscellaneous Improvements

Enabled activation of suite catering service in only one site per company with the following actions:

  • Implement check for existing active suite catering service when Edit Suite Catering window is opened

  • Implement check to prevent saving site configuration to active suite catering service while site already has service active

  • Disable modification of activation status for suite catering service when multiple sites are selected for editing

Improve consistency of functionality and display for payment assignment information with the following actions:

  • Enhance UI component of Universal Assignment toggle and Save This Card toggle

  • Enhance validation error display for Add New Credit Card when card expires before start of event

  • Add Leave Confirmation popup when user clicks on Back in Payment Method popup
