SICOM to Genius Site Mapping

Site mapping is needed to allow some brands to continue using SICOM for content while leveraging Genius for pricing and menu updates.

Nota

To view and and complete this process in Genius Portal, a subscription to Genius Digital Menu Board is required.

To create a mapping:

  1. From All Companies, select the 3-dot menu for the target company and select Edit.

  2. From the company's page left navigation, select Admin Options.

  3. From Admin Options, scroll down to Sicom Site Mapping and select Add Site.

  4. From the Sicom Integration modal, type the following information into the fields:

    Sicom Brand ID

    Yes

    This field is alphabetical only and not case-sensitive. If prior mapping exists, this field auto-populates.

    Sicom Restaurant #

    Yes

    This field is numeric only. The value must be unique within the company.

    Genius Site Name

    Yes

    From the modal, select a site from the list of all company sites.

  5. From the Sicom Integration modal:

    1. Search by Site ID or Site Name.

    2. Use the radio button to select one Site only—sites already-mapped are excluded from the list.

    3. Select Create Mapping.

    Nota

    Each Sicom Brand ID + Restaurant # combo must be unique across all companies. Error messages for non-unique combinations include:

    • Brand ID: The brand is already mapped to [Company Name].

    • Restaurant #: This Restaurant # is already mapped to [Company Name].

  6. From the upper-right of the company's page, select Save.

Edit a Site Mapping

To edit a site mapping:

  1. From All Companies, select the 3-dot menu for the target company and select Edit.

  2. From the company's page left navigation, select Admin Options.

  3. From Admin Options, scroll down to Sicom Site Mapping and select the 3-dot menu for the target site mapping and select Edit.

    Nota

    Alternatively, select the radio button for the target site mapping, select the Action dropdown, and select Edit.

  4. From the Sicom Integration modal, modify the required fields as needed.

  5. From the Sicom Integration modal, select Save Mapping.

  6. From the upper-right of the company's page, select Save.

Delete a Site Mapping

Nota

If there is a need to remap a site, the site mapping must be deleted first because already mapped sites do not appear in the selection grid of the Sicom Integration modal.

To delete a site mapping:

  1. From All Companies, select the 3-dot menu for the target company and select Edit.

  2. From the company's page left navigation, select Admin Options.

  3. From Admin Options, scroll down to Sicom Site Mapping and select the 3-dot menu for the target site mapping and select Delete.

    Nota

    Alternatively, select the radio button for the target site mapping, select the Action dropdown, and select Delete.

  4. From Delete Mapping modal, select Delete Mapping to delete or Cancel to save the site mapping.

  5. From the upper-right of the company's page, select Save.
