Item-Level Procedures
This section describes actions you can perform on individual items:
To change the quantity of an order item:
From the order item listbox, select the product.
From the Actions menu, select Change Quantity.
Type the new quantity.
Select Save.
To add a bulk quantity of an order item:
From the lower-left, select Options.
From Options, select Quantity.
Use the numeric keypad to type the bulk quantity.
If you make a mistake, select X to delete the last number you typed.
From the upper-right, select the product menu. The products on the menu are displayed.
From the product menu, select the requested product. The product is added to the order item listbox.
When you duplicate an order item:
Child items and modifiers are duplicated.
The item quantity is doubled.
For example, when you duplicate an item with a quantity of two (2), its quantity is increased to four (4).
To duplicate an order item:
From the order item listbox, select the product.
From the Actions menu, select Duplicate.
The Convert To action converts an item to a meal or size variation. For example, convert a 5-Piece meal to a 10-Piece or 15-Piece meal.
To convert an order item to one of its variations:
From the order item listbox, select the product.
From the Actions menu, select Convert To.
From the popup menu, select the variation.

Previously applied item modifiers are not affected.
To convert the size of an order item:
From the order item listbox, select the product.
From the menu, select the size. An indicator appears in the upper-left of the selected size.
Convert Item to Combo Meal
The Make a Combo action converts an à la carte item to a combo meal.
For example, convert a Sandwich to a Sandwich Combo, which includes a Side Item and Drink.
To convert an order item to a combo meal:
From the order item listbox, select the product.
From the Actions menu, select Make a Combo.
Note
Once an item is converted, the Make a Combo label changes to ALC enabling you to convert the combo meal to à la carte.
Previously applied item modifiers are not affected.
Convert Child Item Size
You can convert the size of child items without affecting their parent item.
From the order item listbox, select the product.
From the menu, select the size. An indicator appears in the upper-left of the selected size.
Important
When you delete an item, its child items are also deleted.
To delete an item from an order:
From the order item listbox, select the product.
From the Actions menu, select Delete Item.
The Delete Item action label changes depending on the items you select from the order item listbox:

Item-level comments are indented below the item on the order item listbox.
To add a comment to an order item:
From the order item listbox, select the product.
From the Actions menu, select Comment.
In the Comment field, type the comment.
Select Done.
Edit Item-Level Comment
To edit a comment added to an item:
From the order item listbox, select the comment.
From the Actions menu, select Edit Comment.
In the Comment field, type the comment.
Select Done.
Delete Item-Level Comment
To delete a comment from an order item:
From the order item listbox, select the comment.
From the Actions menu, select Delete Comment.
Use the Kitchen Hold action to flag "On Hold" order items and NOT send the items to the kitchen.
This feature is useful when a guest wants to receive specific items ahead of others. For example, a guest might want to receive their soup and salad before their entrée.
An "On Hold" indicator appears next to flagged items.
When an item is "On Hold", its child items are also "On Hold".
You can flag a child item independently from its parent.
To tender the order, remove the flag from all items.
Apply Kitchen Hold Flag
To apply the Kitchen Hold flag to an order item:
From the order item listbox, select the product.
From the Actions menu, select Kitchen Hold.
Remove Kitchen Hold Flag
To remove the Kitchen Hold flag from an order item:
From the upper-left, select the hamburger icon
.From the System Navigation menu, select Open & Suspended Orders.
Select the order with the flagged item.
From the order item listbox, select the flagged item.
From the Actions menu, select Remove Hold.
The "On Hold" visual indicator is removed from the flagged item.
Select Send to send the order item to the kitchen.
To change the price of an order item:
From the order item listbox, select the product.
From the Actions menu, select Change Price.
From the Select Reason popup, select the reason for changing the price (if applicable).
From the Change Price popup, type the updated price.
Select Apply.
Lookup details about a product, including available sizes, variations and price:
From the upper-right of Order Entry, select Search
.Type the preferred value: Product Name or ID. Matching products are listed.
From the product list, select the product.
To add the product to the order, select Add to Order.
Select View Detailed Info to View Product Details.
To search by barcode:
From the upper-right of Order Entry, locate the barcode scanner field.
From the barcode scanner field, select the barcode icon.
Use the scanner to scan the barcode.
The barcode icon remains selected enabling you to scan another barcode.
If a barcode is shared by multiple products, select the preferred product from the list.
If a barcode is shared by products and discounts, the items are listed on separate tabs.
Product Lookup Tools
The following are available from the upper-right of the Product Lookup screen:

To view details about a product:
From the order item listbox, select the product.
From the Actions menu, select Detailed Info.

Prep Instructions - View product preparation instructions

Scan the barcode of an item to add it to an order or view product details.
Scan the barcode on a printed receipt to recall the order and perform additional actions.
Closed orders open from Order History.
If the order is not Closed, it opens from either Order Entry or the Tender screen depending on configuration.
To scan a barcode:
From the upper-right of Order Entry, locate the barcode scanner field.
From the barcode scanner field, select the barcode icon.
Use the scanner to scan the barcode.
The barcode icon remains selected enabling you to scan another barcode.
If a barcode is shared by multiple products, select the preferred product from the list.
If a barcode is shared by products and discounts, the items are listed on separate tabs.
Type Barcode
To enter a barcode manually:
From the upper-right of Order Entry, locate the barcode scanner field.
From the barcode scanner field, select the keyboard icon.
Type the barcode number.
