Is it possible to change the order destination (e.g. Eat In, To Go) after an order is started?
A default order destination is automatically assigned to each new order. The default order destination for a terminal is identified in the upper-left of the screen, above the order item listbox. You can change the order destination for an order at any point during the order entry or tender process.
Where is the list of actions a cashier can perform on an order item?
The Actions menu lists the actions you may perform on the item currently selected from the order item listbox. Use the arrows at the top and bottom of the menu to scroll the actions list.

Am I able to access a day part menu (e.g. Breakfast menu) outside of the defined hours for that day part?
Depending on how the POS is setup, the product menus may automatically change with a daypart change. You can open a different daypart menu, if needed. In the event a different day part menu is required, the order taker may manually change the menu. For example, if the menu automatically changes from Breakfast to Lunch at 11:00 AM, you can return to the Breakfast menu if necessary to accommodate guests who want to order items from that menu.
What are "Fractional Modifier Quantities"?
This feature enables you to add fractional quantities of modifiers to order items. For example, a guest might request half the standard serving of relish, or one third the amount of mayonnaise on their sandwich. Fractional modifier quantities are displayed on kitchen tickets and prep instructions. For more information, see Fractional Modifier Quantities.
Is there a way to prevent particular items on an order from being sent to the kitchen?
Use the Kitchen Hold action to flag "On Hold" order items and NOT send the items to the kitchen. This feature is useful when a guest wants to receive specific items ahead of others. For example, a guest might want to receive their soup and salad before their entrée.
What are "Order Segments"?
The Order Segment feature enables you to separate and label order items when more than one guest is added to the same order. The order segment label (Tray, Seat, or Bag) may vary based on the order destination. For more information, see Order Segments.
How are toast notifications used on the POS?
Toast notifications appear at the bottom of the screen to notify you of a condition that requires attention. Notifications are automatically dismissed and do not require acknowledgment. For more information, see Toast Notifications. |
