Product Pricing Component

Note

Product Pricing components are automatically formatted in accordance with the regional settings defined for the company.

Define regional settings in the Regional Settings section of the Company/Site Preferences editor.

To add a Product Pricing component:

  1. From the left pane of the Content Designer, select Component.

  2. From the Component dropdown, select Product Pricing.

Pricing Settings

From the Pricing Settings section on the right pane, define the following:

Setting

Description

Name

In the provided field, type a name for the component.

  • Select the lock icon to make the component properties non-editable.

  • Toggle the eye icon to hide/show the component.

X and Y

Type the desired X and Y coordinates for the component.

When the position of the component is manually adjusted on the screen, the X and Y field values are updated automatically.

W and H

Type the desired width and height of the component.

Rotation

Type the number of degrees to rotate the component value on the display.

Use the provided buttons to rotate the component counterclockwise or clockwise by 90 degrees.

Define the following Text formatting settings:

Setting

Description

Font

From the dropdown, select a font to apply to the text.

To upload custom fonts, see Fonts.

Size

In the provided field, type the desired font size.

Style

From the dropdown, select a font style.

Color

From the color field, select a font color. The HEX# for the selected color is displayed.

Justification

From the right of the color field, select a justification option.

Define the following Currency and Decimal settings:

Setting

Description

Decimal Places

Number of decimal places to display in the value.

Show Currency Symbol

Display currency symbol with currency value.

Show Decimal Point

Display decimal point and display decimal values in the same font size as the integer value.

If this option is NOT selected, the decimal point is NOT displayed. The decimal values are displayed in smaller font to distinguish them from whole integer.

Show Integer When Zero

Display leading zero (0) in whole integer when zero (e.g. 0.99).

Show Decimal When Zero

Always display the decimal value even when the decimal value is zero (0) (e.g. $1.00).

Swap Text When Sold Out

If the product associated with the Pricing Component becomes unavailable at the site, the product price on the screen is replaced with the Sold Out Text.

Map Product

From the Product section of the right pane, select Add Product to map a specific product to the Pricing Component.

Once a product is mapped:

  • The Product Name/ID are displayed in the Product field.

  • The Product Name replaces the component name in Layers section.

If the name or price of the selected product is changed in Data Management, the name and price for the component are updated automatically.

Enable Show Max Spacing to view the maximum amount of space the component could occupy.

Set Fixed Price

Use the Set Fixed Price functionality to define a manual price for a Price Component without linking it to a product from Data Management. This price is used as a default value.

To set a fixed price:

  1. From the left pane of the Content Designer, select Layers.

  2. From Layers, select Price Component.

  3. From Layers, select the right configuration menu and locate Default Price and enter the fixed price amount in the text field.

Visibility Requirements

Define requirements that determine when the component is visible on the display. You can add the following types of requirements:

To add a Business Attribute visibility requirement:

  1. From the Visibility Requirements section of the component settings, select the plus sign -OR- select Add Another Requirement if requirements already exist.

  2. From the Requirement Type dropdown, select Business Attribute.

  3. From the Add Requirement window, select the preferred business attribute.

  4. Select Add Requirement.

  5. From the Visibility Requirements section of the component settings, adjust the requirement value(s) as needed.

The component is displayed when the identified item is the most recent item added to the order. You can identify more than one (1) item.

To add an order item visibility requirement:

  1. From the Visibility Requirements section of the component settings, select the plus sign -OR- select Add Another Requirement if requirements already exist.

  2. From the Requirement Type dropdown, select Current Order Item.

  3. From the Add Requirement popup, select Add Item(s).

  4. From the Add Items popup, select the item(s), and then select Add Item(s).

  5. From the Add Requirement popup, select Add Requirement.

  6. From the Visibility Requirements section of the component settings, adjust the requirement value(s) as needed.

The component is displayed on the identified day(s) of the week.

To add a Day of the Week requirement:

  1. From the Visibility Requirements section of the component settings, select the plus sign -OR- select Add Another Requirement if requirements already exist.

  2. From the Requirement Type dropdown, select Day of the Week.

  3. From the Add Requirement window, select the day(s) of the week to display the component.

  4. From the Add Requirement popup, select Add Requirement.

  5. From the Visibility Requirements section of the component settings, adjust the requirement value(s) as needed.

The component is displayed when the identified product is either available or unavailable depending on configuration.

To add a product availability requirement:

  1. From the Visibility Requirements section of the component settings, select the plus sign -OR- select Add Another Requirement if requirements already exist.

  2. From the Requirement Type dropdown, select the Product Availability.

  3. From the Condition dropdown, select the condition for displaying the component:

    • The specified item must be available

    • The specified item must be unavailable

  4. From the product list, select the applicable product.

  5. From the Add Requirement popup, select Add Requirement.

  6. From the Visibility Requirements section of the component settings, adjust the requirement value(s) as needed.

The component is displayed when the site is assigned to:

  • Specific site hierarchies

  • One or more specific tags

  • Preferred language

To add a site detail requirement:

  1. From the Visibility Requirements section of the component settings, select the plus sign -OR- select Add Another Requirement if requirements already exist.

  2. From the Requirement Type dropdown, select Site Detail.

  3. From the Requirement field, select the preferred site requirement: Hierarchy, Language, or Tag

  4. Use the provided fields for the selected requirement to define its conditions.

  5. From the Add Requirement popup, select Add Requirement.

  6. From the Visibility Requirements section of the component settings, adjust the requirement value(s) as needed.

Sold Out Settings

If the product associated with the Pricing Component becomes unavailable at the site, the product price on the screen is replaced with the Sold Out Text.

From the Sold Out Settings section of the right pane, define the following:

Setting

Description

X and Y

Type the desired X and Y coordinates for the component.

When the position of the component is manually adjusted on the screen, the X and Y field values are updated automatically.
