Enter Order
This section describes the general steps to enter an order at the POS:
From the upper-left, select the hamburger icon
.From the System Navigation menu, select Order Entry.
When the POS is ready for a new order, "Ready to Order..." is displayed in the upper-left of the screen.
When a new order is started, a unique order number and the guest count are displayed in this field.
When you start a new order, a default order destination is assigned. Examples of order destinations include: Eat In, Carry Out, and Delivery.
The default order destination is identified in the upper-left of the screen above the order item listbox.
To select a different order destination:
From the upper-left, select the down arrow next to the order destination list.
From the dropdown, select the order destination. A green circle appears in the upper-left of the selected order destination.
Note
You can change the order destination for an order at any point during the order entry or tender process.
From the menu list, select a product menu. The products included in the menu are displayed.
From the upper-right, select an item menu from the menu list.
Examples of item menus include: Sandwiches, Combos, Sides.
The items included in the selected menu are displayed.
Locate the size buttons under the menu list and select the item size requested (if applicable).
From the item menu, select the item requested. The selected item, its respective quantity and price are displayed on the order item listbox.
To add a modifier to an item:
From the order item listbox, select the order item.
From the modifier menu, select the modifier.
The modifier is highlighted in white.
A check mark labeled "Add" is displayed on the button.
The modifier is displayed under the item on the listbox.
To add a modifier with a qualifier:
From the order item listbox, select the order item.
Above the modifier list, select the qualifier. Examples: Extra, Light.
From the modifier menu, select the modifier.
The modifier is highlighted in white.
A check mark and the qualifier label are displayed on the button.
The modifier is displayed under the item on the listbox.
To remove a modifier:
From the order item listbox, select the order item.
From the modifier menu, select the modifier.
