Astuce

Set the first daypart to begin 30 minutes prior to opening. This allows the holding unit to warm up to the appropriate temperature.

24-hour sites do not need to follow this tip as the holding units are always on.

To create new dayparts:

  1. From the Store list, select the site.

    • Alternatively, use the Search field to locate and select a site.

  2. From the Dayparts section, select the day of the week.

  3. Select +Add New Daypart.

    • The Add New Daypart option is not available when scheduled dayparts are already in place for the entire 24-hour period.

  4. In the Name field, type the daypart name.

  5. From the Start Time dropdown, select the daypart start time.

  6. From the End Time dropdown, select the daypart end time.

  7. (Optional) If the holding unit has a timer bar that has daypart display lights, and is connected through a serial cable, use the BB Day Part dropdown to determine which light is illuminated during the selected daypart. Leave blank if unknown.

For more information, see Black Box (BB) Dayparts.

  8. On the upper-right of the panel, select Save Changes.

  9. If a new daypart was created, read the message about kitchen equipment and pan assignments. Select OK to acknowledge.

For more information, see Kitchen Equipment Setup and/or Holding Unit Pan Assignments: Create.

  10. On the Save confirmation message, select OK.

The control box that connects the Holding Unit Timer Bar through a serial cable is described as a Black Box. Not all holding units use this type of control box.

If the Holding Unit Timer Bar contains daypart indicator lights, the BB Daypart field determines which indicator light is illuminated during the daypart. A description of each setting is listed in the table below.
