Events are configured through Xenial Portal and Data Management. To create or edit an event, see Events. For information about Event Types, see Event Types.


The Portal Administrator for the company must enable Event-Based Accounting in order to use this feature: Xenial Portal4-Dot MenuAdminAll Companies<The Company>General.

Additional information about events:

  • An account can both be the owner and renter of the same suite for different events (for example, one account owns Suite #1 for the whole sports season, and also rents Suite #1 for a concert in October), but it cannot subscribe to the same event for the same suite as both the owner and renter.

  • Only events in an open or pending state and with their Availability setting set available to Suite Catering-enabled sites are displayed on the Suite Assignment page (if an event is later set unavailable to the site, it will be removed from this page, but its previous suite subscriptions and orders still exist).

Events are listed in categories. A suite may subscribe to an individual event, an event type (such as concerts or a sports season), or all available events (considered a suite-level subscription).

When subscribed to a category of events or all events, it is not possible to selectively exclude a single event. Newly created future events are automatically applied to these subscriptions as well.

Subscribed events appear on the SuiteSpot events calendar for the suite.

To subscribe to an event:

  1. From the Xenial Portal, navigate to Suite Catering.

  2. From the menu on the left, select Suite Assignments.

  3. From the list of suites, select the desired suite(s).

  4. From the Events column, locate the event.

  5. From the Subscribe column, select the toggle for the event(s).

  6. From the upper-right of the Accounts area, select Save.
