Custom Payment Device (OPOS)

Xenial Cloud Portal Data Management Ordering Settings Hardware Peripherals

Nota

To configure a custom payment device, first create a Create Custom Peripheral Schema.

To define settings for a payment device with an OPOS connection:

  1. Navigate to Xenial Data Management.

  2. From the menu on the left, select Ordering Settings.

  3. Below Ordering Settings, select HardwarePeripherals.

  4. From the upper-right of the Peripherals area, select New Peripheral.

  5. From the Peripheral Type dropdown, select Payment.

  6. From the Peripheral Schema dropdown, select Custom Payment.

  7. From the Connection Type dropdown, select OPOS.

  8. Select Continue.

  9. Locate the Peripheral Type section.

    • Toggle Active to Active if the device is available for use at the site.

    • Multi-site users: To the right of the field, select the globe icon to define values for each site.

  10. Locate the Peripheral Configuration section.

    • In the Peripheral Name field, type a name for the device.

    • In the Adapter URL field, type the URL that links to the custom adapter.

    • In the Options field, type the configuration payment adapter in JSON format.

  11. Locate the Connection Configuration section.

    • In the Logical Name field, type the name of the file that is linked to the physical device name. The file name specifies the address and physical connection of the device to the system.

    • In the Host Name field, type the name of the host associated with the device.

    • In the Port field, type the port number that is used to connect to the device.
