Open Order Lanes

The following describes how to create order lanes that filter and sort orders for a particular Order Screens:
From the Open Order Lanes screen, select New Lane.
From the menu pane on the left, select a page and define the respective settings.
The following introduces the pages of the Open Order Lanes editor.
Page
Description
Define general settings including the name and description of the order lane.
Add filters to the order lane using a basic or advanced filter editor.
Add rules to define how orders are sorted in the order lane.
From the upper-right of the screen, select Save.
General
From the General page of the Order Lanes editor, define the following settings:
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Name | Type the name to display in the order lane header. |
Description | Type a description of the order lane including the content it displays. |
Online Order Status | Toggle Yes to display the online ordering status in this lane's header. This is only recommended for lanes dedicated to online orders. |
Show Parked Separately | Toggle On to display Parked orders in a separate section in Open Orders view. |
Create Orders From Lane
Toggle Allow Order Creation to Yes to include a New Order shortcut in this lane. The user selects the shortcut to create a new order to add to the lane.
From the Default Destination dropdown, select the default order destination to assign to a new order that is created with the shortcut.
If an order destination is NOT selected, the default destination for the terminal scheme is used.
Lane Filters
From the Lane Filters page of the Order Lanes editor, define the type of content to display in the order lane.
From the Configuration Type dropdown, select the type of filter to define:
Basic - Define simple order filters.
Advanced - Define complex order filters.
Basic
To define a basic order filter:
From the Filter section, select Add Filter.
From the Filter Key dropdown, select an order property to filter.
From the Condition dropdown, select a condition for the filter key.
From the Values list, select the filter key value.
Select Add.
Basic filter examples:

Terminal Is Not Reg1 | Orders entered at Reg1 will not be displayed in this lane |
Destination Is Carry OutDestination Is Carry Out | Only orders assigned the Carry Out order destination will be displayed in this lane |
Origin Is Not KioskOrigin Is Not Kiosk | Orders that originate from the Kiosk will not be displayed in this lane |
Advanced
To define an advanced order filter:
From the Add Key dropdown, select an order property to filter.
From the second dropdown, select a condition for the filter key.
From the Select Key Value dropdown, select the filter key value.
Select Add.
Use the AND, OR, and () controls to the right of the Add button to define relationships between multiple order filters.
Advanced filter examples:
Example | Description |

Terminal Is Reg1 AND Destination Is Carry Out | Only orders entered at Reg1 with an order destination of Carry Out will be displayed in this lane. |
Payment Status Is Paid OR Payment Status Is Awaiting Tip | Only orders with a payment status of Paid or Awaiting Tip will be displayed in this lane. |
Order Source Is Not Mobile App AND Destination Is Not Eat In | Orders from any order source other than Mobile App that have been assigned any order destination other than Eat In will be displayed in this lane. |
Sorting Rules
From the Sorting Rules page of the Order Lanes editor, add rules to define how orders are sorted in the order lane:
From the Sorting Rules section, select Add Sort Rule.
From the Key dropdown, select an order property to sort.
From the Direction dropdown, select the sorting direction for the selected key.
Ascending - Sort the key from lowest to highest or alphabetically from A-Z.
Descending - Sort the key from highest to lowest or alphabetically from Z-A.
From the lower-right of the Add Sort Rules window, select Apply.
Select and drag the control to the left of the listed rules to sort them from highest-to-lowest (where the rule at the top of the list has the highest rank).
From the upper-right of the screen, select Save.
