Event Types
Use the Event Type editor to create the event type records that are used with Events. Examples of event types include: Football Game, Banquet, Highway Construction.

To create an event type:
From the Event Type List homepage, select New Event Type.
The following introduces the sections of the Event Type editor.
Section
Description
Define general settings about the event type, including its name and availability.
Select the images to display for this event type.
From the upper-right of the screen, select Save.
General
From the General section of the Event Type editor, define the following settings:
Setting | Description |

Name | Type the event type name. |
External ID | Type an alphanumeric external ID value for the event type. This value is used to export files to external systems. |
Description | Type a description of the event type. |
Active | Toggle to Active if the event type is available for use at the site. Multi-site users: To the right of the field, select the globe icon to define values for each site. |
Price Point | From the dropdown, select the price point to associate with this event type. To charge the base price for all products for this event type, select Base Price. Multi-site users: To the right of the field, select the globe icon to define values for each site. |
ADO Price Point | From the dropdown, select the Advanced Day Orders (ADO) price point to associate with this event type. To charge the base price for all products for this event type, select Base Price. Multi-site users: To the right of the field, select the globe icon to define values for each site. This setting is only available when the company has a subscription to Suite Catering. |

Define price points using the Price Points editor.
Event Type Icon
From the Event Type Icon section of the Event Type editor, select the images that will be displayed for this event type.
From the Event Type Icon section, select the applicable Image Set.
From the action bar located above the Image Set list, select Edit.
From the Edit window, define the following:

Description
Type a name or description of the image.
Image Source
Select the source of the image:
URL - Specify the network or Internet URL for the image. In the Address field, type the URL for the image file.
Upload Image - Upload an image to the cloud. Select Choose File to locate and select the image file.
The image is displayed in the Preview section. Select the image to zoom in.
From the lower-right of the Edit window, select Done.
Nota
All Image Sets with a Usage type of Event Type are listed in this section. To add an Image Set to the list, use the Image Sets editor.
