Product Mix

Product Mix includes menu items, quantities, prices, and sales information. For each menu item, product mix records and displays the following:

  • Quantity Sold

  • Price

  • Total (price multiplied by quantity sold)

  • Quantity Promoted

  • Quantity Wasted

  • Quantity Sold at a Discount

Xenial Back office allows for tracking product mix on a site by site basis and by point of purchase.

From POS to Xenial Back Office

There are three options for obtaining product mix data. These options are: polling from the POS directly into Xenial Back Office, manually adding or adjusting based on receipt reporting, or estimating based on past sales. All methods allow adjustments afterwards.

Based on the menu item keys selected on the POS throughout the day's sales activity, Product Mix is tallied and saved by item at the end of the day. It accounts for the number of items sold, pricing, promotions, waste, and discounts.

Two methods exist for moving product mix data from the POS register (in site) into the Xenial Back Office:

  1. Electronically gather product mix data from the POS system.

  2. Manually add product mix data from the point of sale's receipt reporting using Add Product Mix.
