Product Pricing

This section describes the two types of product pricing:

Manually Map Products [Integrated Pricing]

When using integrated POS database pricing, products are manually mapped to their Product Look Up [PLU] number. This process is handled through the Link Product Prices to POS PLU Numbers feature on the Portal. To reach this feature, navigate to:

The Portal > DMB Portal > Set Up Menus > Link Product Prices to POS PLU Numbers

To map DMB products to PLUs:

  1. From the PLU Group list, select the PLU Group to view.

  2. In the provided field, type the appropriate information for each PLU.

    • Use First, Previous, Next, Last to navigate between pages.

    • Alternatively, use the Search feature to locate products by name or PLU.

  3. From the upper-right, select Save Changes.

  4. Sync Changes from the Portal to the site(s). See Sync Changes.

Create New PLU Group

Product Look Up [PLU] Groups help integrated sites manage geographical or location-based pricing. To use this feature, navigate to:

DMB Portal > Set Up Menus > Manage PLU Groups

To create a new PLU Group, follow the procedure below:

  1. In the Add A New Group field at the top of the page, type a new group name.

  2. Select the Content type from the dropdown.

  3. Select the Base PLU Group from the dropdown.

  4. Select Add.

  5. Select Save Changes, located at the top of the page.

  6. Sync Changes from the Portal to the site(s). See Sync Changes.

Remove PLU Group

Product Look Up [PLU] Groups help integrated sites manage geographical or location-based pricing. To keep PLU Groups up-to-date and organized, remove outdated PLU groups that are no longer in use. To use this feature, navigate to:

DMB Portal > Set Up Menus > Remove PLU Groups

To remove a PLU Group, follow the procedure below:

  1. Select a PLU Group Name from the list.

  2. At the bottom of the list, select Delete.

Nota

If a PLU Group is currently assigned to a site it is not eligible for removal. Follow the procedure outlined in Manually Map Products [Integrated Pricing] to unassign a PLU Group from a site.

Manually Assign Pricing [Non-Integrated Pricing]

Sites that use non-integrated pricing must manually assign product prices to the database. With non-integrated pricing, it is required to update the database each time a product price changes. These prices are then attributed to the products displayed on the DMB. Pricing updates are typically handled by a designated individual at the franchise level. To use this feature, navigate to:

The Portal > DMB Portal > Set Up Menus > Set Product Prices Manually

To manually assign pricing:

  1. Select the desired price group.

  2. Type the appropriate pricing information for the product(s).

    • Use First, Previous, Next, Last to navigate between pages.

    • Alternatively, use the Search feature to locate products by name or PLU.

  3. Select Save Changes, located at the top of the page.

  4. Sync Changes from the Portal to the site(s). See Sync Changes.

Create New Price Group

Price groups help non-integrated sites manage geographical or location-based pricing. To use this feature, navigate to:

DMB Portal > Set Up Menus > Manage Price Groups

To create a new price group, follow the procedure below:

  1. In the Add A New Group field at the top of the page, type a new group name.

  2. Select the Base Price Group from the dropdown.

  3. Select Add.

  4. Select Save Changes, located at the top of the page.

  5. Sync Changes from the Portal to the site(s). See Sync Changes.

Remove Price Group

Price groups help non-integrated sites manage geographical or location-based pricing. To keep Price Groups up-to-date and organized, remove outdated price groups that are no longer in use. To use this feature, navigate to:

DMB Portal > Set Up Menus > Remove Price Group

To remove a Price Group, follow the procedure below:

  1. Select a Price Group Name from the list.

  2. At the bottom of the list, select Delete.

Nota

If a Price Group is currently assigned to a site it is not eligible for removal. Follow the procedure outlined in Manually Assign Pricing [Non-Integrated Pricing] to unassign a Price Group from a site.
