Product Pricing

The product pricing types are:

Manually Map Products: Integrated Pricing

The Portal DMB Set Up Menus+ Link Product Prices to POS PLU NUmbers

The integrated POS pricing database requires a map to the appropriate Product Look Up (PLU) number. This process is handled through the Link Product Prices to POS PLU Numbers feature on The Portal.

To map products to PLUs:

  1. From the PLU Group list, select the PLU Group.

  2. In the provided field, type the appropriate information for each PLU.

    • Use First, Previous, Next, Last to navigate between pages.

    • Alternatively, use the Search feature to locate products by name or PLU.

  3. From the upper-right of the panel, select Save Changes.

  4. From the menu list on the left, select Sync Changes.

Create New PLU Group

Product Look Up (PLU) Groups provide a way for integrated sites to manage geographical or location-based pricing.

To create a new PLU Group:

  1. In the Add A New Group field at the top of the page, type a new group name.

  2. Select the Content type from the dropdown.

  3. Select the Base PLU Group from the dropdown.

  4. Select Add.

  5. Select Save Changes, located at the top of the page.

  6. From the menu list on the left, select Sync Changes.

Remove PLU Group

Product Look Up (PLU) Groups provide a way for integrated sites to manage geographical or location-based pricing. To keep PLU Groups up-to-date and organized, remove outdated PLU groups that are no longer in use.

To remove a PLU Group:

  1. Select a PLU Group Name from the list.

  2. At the bottom of the list, select Delete.

Note

PLU Groups currently assigned to a site are not eligible for removal. Follow the procedure outlined in Manually Map Products: Integrated Pricing to unassign a PLU Group from a site.

Manually Assign Pricing: Non-Integrated Pricing

Price groups provide a way for non-integrated sites to manage geographical or location-based pricing.

It is necessary for non-integrated sites to update the database each time a product price changes. Pricing updates are typically handled by a designated individual at the franchise level.

To manually assign pricing:

  1. Select the desired price group.

  2. Type the appropriate pricing information for the product(s).

    • Use First, Previous, Next, Last to navigate between pages.

    • Alternatively, use the Search feature to locate products by name or PLU.

  3. Select Save Changes, located at the top of the page.

  4. From the menu list on the left, select Sync Changes.

Price groups provide a way for non-integrated sites to manage geographical or location-based pricing.

To create a new price group:

  1. In the Add A New Group field at the top of the page, type a new group name.

  2. Select the Base Price Group from the dropdown.

  3. Select Add.

  4. Select Save Changes, located at the top of the page.

  5. From the menu list on the left, select Sync Changes.

Price groups provide a way for non-integrated sites to manage geographical or location-based pricing. To keep Price Groups up-to-date and organized, remove outdated price groups that are no longer in use.

DMB Portal > Set Up Menus > Remove Price Group

To remove a Price Group, follow the procedure below:

  1. Select a Price Group Name from the list.

  2. At the bottom of the list, select Delete.
