Add a Group Component to a Bundle

Nota

Changes made to the bundle components only affect the current product. The original bundle template is not affected.

To add a group component to a bundle:

  1. Locate the Bundles section of the Build page of the product record.

    • This section is only available when the Enabled toggle in the Bundle Configuration section is set to On.

  2. From the Add dropdown, select Create Custom Component. The Component Options form opens.

  3. From the Component Type field, select Multiple Items.

  4. In the Label field, type a name for the bundle component.

  5. Toggle Enabled to On if this component is currently available for the bundle.

  6. In the Description field, type a description of the component.

  7. From the Destinations dropdown, select the allowed order destinations for this component.

    • For example, if the component is only available when the product is ordered for Eat In, only select the Eat In order destination.

    • All order destinations are selected by default.

  8. From the Select Items Using field, select the desired option. The selected option determines the method that is used to add products to this group component.

    • Specific Items - Select this option to choose specific items from the product list.

    • Use Tags - Select this option to use one or more tags. All items associated with the specified tag(s) are added to the product list for the component.

    • Both - Select this option to choose specific items and use tags.

  9. From the Products Tagged With dropdown, select the tag(s) to use. All items associated with the tag(s) are added to the product list for the component.

    • This field is not available if Specific Items was selected in the previous step.

  10. Specify the minimum and maximum quantities for this component in the Min and Max fields, respectively.

    • For example, if the Min field value is set to 2, then the customer must select two of the listed products for this bundled component.

  11. Select Add Products to choose the specific items to include on the product list. If Use Tags was selected in step 8, proceed to step 12.

    • From the Add Products to Bundle Component window, select the products.

    • Select Add # Items.

  12. The Products section lists the items included in this bundle component.

    • Select and drag the control to the left of each product to sort the products in the desired sequence.

    • In the Default Quantity field, type the item quantity to add to the customer’s order by default.

    • Toggle Enabled to Yes if the item is currently available with this bundle component.

    • Select X to remove a product from the list.

  13. From the lower-right, select Save & Close to save the record and close the Component Options window.

    • The Save & Close dropdown includes the option Save & Assign Sites. Select this option to open an editor to assign the bundle component to one or more sites.

Filter the Product List

To filter the item list on the Add products to Bundle Component window by tags:

Edit a Group Component

To edit the properties of a group component of a bundle:

  1. In the Label field, type a name for the bundle component.

  2. Toggle Enabled to On if this component is currently available for the bundle.

  3. In the Description field, type a description of the component.

  5. From the Component Type field, select Multiple Items.

  6. From the Select Items Using field, select the desired option. The selected option determines the method that is used to add products to this group component.

    • Specific Items - Select this option to choose specific items from the product list.

    • Use Tags - Select this option to use one or more tags. All items associated with the specified tag(s) are added to the product list for the component.

    • Both - Select this option to choose specific items and use tags.

  7. From the Products Tagged With dropdown, select the tag(s) to use. All items associated with the tag(s) are added to the product list for the component.

    • This field is not available if Specific Items was selected in the previous step.
