Payment TranSend Settings (LAN)

To define settings for a TranSend device with a LAN connection:

  1. From the Peripheral Type dropdown, select Payment.

  2. From the Peripheral Schema dropdown, select Payment TranSend.

  3. From the Connection Type dropdown, select LAN.

  4. Select Continue.

  5. On the General page, locate the Peripheral Type section.

    • Toggle Active to Active if the device record is available for use at the site.

    • Multi-site users: To the right of the field, select the globe icon to define values for each site.

  6. On the General page, locate the Peripheral Configuration section.

    • In the Peripheral Name field, type a name for the device.

    • From the Payment Platform dropdown, select TranSend.

    • From the Vendor dropdown, select Ingenico.

    • From the Model dropdown, select the device model.

    • Toggle Show Tips Dialog to Yes to display the dialog for customer tips when processing a payment for an order.

    • In the Batch Timeout Seconds field, type the number of seconds to wait to successfully process batch settlement commands before timing out.

    • In the Key field, type the device-specific key.

    • In the Serial Number field, type the serial number (S/N) identified on the device.

    • Toggle Enable Swipe Ahead to Yes to allow customers to swipe their payment card and type their PIN (or sign for the transaction) BEFORE the cashier finishes entering the order. Once the order is entered, the customer approves the order total and the receipt prints. This feature speeds up the order tendering process.

      • This feature is not supported by all devices. If the feature is not supported, a message is displayed below the Enable Swipe Ahead toggle.

  7. Locate the Connection Configuration section.

    • In the IP field, type the IP address of the device.

    • In the Port field, type the COM port to which the device is connected.
