About Kitchen Routing Categories
Assign kitchen routing categories to products to filter the products on the kitchen displays and chits.
Define kitchen routing categories using the Kitchen Routing Categories editor (Kitchen Settings).
Assign kitchen routing categories to products using the Product List editor (Ordering Settings>Products). If a product does not have any assigned categories, it is only printed from a printer with no assigned categories.
Assign kitchen routing categories to kitchen displays using the Kitchen Screen Settings editor (Kitchen Settings). Products are routed to the kitchen display with the same assigned categories.
Assign kitchen routing categories to printers using the Peripherals editor (Ordering Settings>Hardware). Products are routed to the printer with the same assigned categories. If a printer does not have any assigned categories, it prints chits for all products.
When routing combo meals, the defined child item routing takes precedence over its parent item. If routing is not defined a product, then the product is routed to the kitchen printer connected to the terminal. If a kitchen printer is not connected to the terminal, then the product is routed to the default kitchen printer.
