Display Layouts

From the Display Layouts homepage, view the following details about existing display layouts:

Column

Description

Display Layout Name

Name of the display layout.

Description

Description of the display layout.

Displays

Number of displays associated with the layout.

Last Update

Date/time the display layout record was last updated.

Create Display Layout

To create a collection of displays with assigned screen content:

  1. From the upper-right of the Display Layouts homepage, select Create Display Layout.

  2. From the menu pane on the left, select a page and define the respective settings.

    The following introduces the pages of the Display Layouts editor.

    General

    Define general settings about the display layout.

    Availability

    Define the availability of the display layout.

    Displays

    Add displays to the layout.

    Sleep Times

    Define when the display layout is in sleep mode.

    Content Schedule

    • Assign a screen to each display.

    • Optionally create a content schedule to display different screens during each time period.

  3. (Optional) From the upper-right of the screen, select Deploy Now to immediately deploy the display layout to selected company site(s).

  4. From the upper-right of the screen, select Save.

General

To define general settings for a display layout:

  1. From the menu pane on the left, select General.

  2. From the General section, define the following:

    Field

    Description

    Display Layout Name

    Type a name for the display layout.

    Description

    Type a description of the display layout.

    SOC Enabled

    Toggle Yes if SOC is enabled for the display.

Availability

To define availability settings for a display layout:

  1. From the menu pane on the left, select Availability.

  2. Toggle Active to Yes if the display layout is currently available for use at the site.

    • Multi-site users: To the right of the field, select the globe icon to define values for each site.

Displays

To add a display to a layout:

  1. From the menu pane on the left, select Displays.

  2. From the upper-right of the Displays section, select Add Display.

  3. From the Display popup, define the following:

    Field

    Description

    Display Name

    Type a name for the display.

    Description

    Type a description for the display.

    Resolution

    From the dropdown, select the desired resolution for the display.

    Network IP

    Type the IP address for the display (if applicable).

  4. From the lower-right of the Display popup, select Done. The display is added to the list.

  5. Repeat steps 2-4 to add additional displays.

  6. From the Displays section, select and drag the control to the left of the listed displays to sort them in the desired sequence.

Remove Display

To remove a display from the layout:

  1. From the Displays section, locate the display.

  2. From the 3-dot menu on the right, select Remove.

Sleep Times

To define when the display layout is in sleep mode:

  1. From the menu pane on the left, select Sleep Times.

  2. From the Schedule dropdown, select the desired sleep mode:

    Mode

    Description

    Never (Default)

    The display layout never enters sleep mode.

    Every Day

    The display layout enters sleep mode at the same time everyday.

    • In the From field, type the time when sleep mode begins -OR- select the clock icon to select the time from a popup clock.

    • In the To field, type the time when sleep mode ends -OR- select the clock icon to select the time from a popup clock.

    Custom

    Define the time of day when sleep mode begins and ends for each day of the week.

    • In the From field, type the time when sleep mode begins on the corresponding day.

    • In the To field, type the time when sleep mode ends on the corresponding day.

Content Schedule

From the Content Schedule page:

  • Assign a screen to each display.

  • Optionally create a content schedule to display different screens during each time period.

To select the screen to assign to each display:

  1. From the menu pane on the left, select Content Schedule.

  2. From the Content Schedule page, locate the All Day section. The displays added from the Displays page are listed.

  3. From each display dropdown, select the screen to display.

    • Multi-site users: To the right of the field, select the globe icon to define values for each site.

To create a content schedule:

  1. From the Content Schedule page, select Add Time Period.

  2. From the Time Period dropdown, select a time period.

  3. From the lower-right of the Add Time Period window, select Done.

    The displays added from the Displays page are listed in the new time period section.

  4. From each display dropdown, select the screen to display.

    • Multi-site users: To the right of the field, select the globe icon to define values for each site.

Add as many time periods as needed. The following controls are displayed in the upper-right of each time period section:

Edit the time period.

single up arrow

Move the time period up one level.

single down arrow

Move the time period down one level.

grey "x"

Remove the time period section.

Edit Display Layout

To edit the properties of an existing display layout:

  1. From the Display Layouts homepage, select the square to the left of the display layout.

    • In the Search field in the upper-right, type the display layout name to quickly locate the layout record from the list.

  2. From the Actions dropdown, select Edit.

  3. Edit the properties of the display layout as needed.

  4. (Optional) From the upper-right of the screen, select Deploy Now to immediately deploy the display layout to selected company site(s).

  5. From the upper-right of the screen, select Save.

Delete Display Layout

To delete an existing display layout:

  1. From the Display Layouts homepage, select the square to the left of the layout.

    • In the Search field in the upper-right, type the display layout name to quickly locate it from the list.

  2. From the Actions dropdown, select Remove.

  3. From the confirmation prompt, select Yes.
