Create a Bundle Component

The following describes how to create bundle components using the Bundle Components editor.

Add bundle components to a product record from the Build page of the Product List editor.

Create an Item Component

To create an item component:

  1. Select New Bundle Component. The Component Options form opens.

  2. From the Component Type field, select Single Item.

  3. In the Label field, type a name for the bundle component.

  4. Set the Enabled toggle to On if this component is currently available for the bundle.

  5. (optional) In the Description field, type a description of the component.

  6. From the Destinations dropdown, select the allowed order destinations for this component.

    • For example, if the component is only available when the product is ordered for Eat In, only select the Eat In order destination.

    • All order destinations are selected by default.

  7. Set the Mark as main toggle to On if this item is the main component of the bundle.

    • The main component is hidden on the order item listbox when the bundled product is added to an order.

    • This setting can only be toggled On for one item component per bundle.

  8. Select the Products field to choose the item.

    • From the Add Products to Bundle Component window, select the item.

    • Select Add 1 Item.

    • For steps on how to filter the product list, see Filter the Product List below.

  9. Select Save to save the record.

To filter the product list on the Add Products to Bundle Component window:

Create a Group Component

To create a group component:

  1. Select New Bundle Component. The Component Options form opens.

  2. From the Component Type field, select Multiple Items.

  3. In the Label field, type a name for the bundle component.

  4. Toggle Enabled to On if this component is currently available for the bundle.

  5. In the Description field, type a description of the component.

  6. From the Destinations dropdown, select the allowed order destinations for this component.

    • For example, if the component is only available when the product is ordered for Eat In, only select the Eat In order destination.

    • All order destinations are selected by default.

  7. From the Select Items Using field, select the desired option. The selected option determines the method that is used to add products to this group component.

    • Specific Items - Select this option to choose specific items from the product list.

    • Use Tags - Select this option to use one or more tags. All items associated with the specified tag(s) are added to the product list for the component.

    • Both - Select this option to choose specific items and use tags.

  8. From the Products Tagged With dropdown, select the tag(s) to use. All items associated with the tag(s) are added to the product list for the component.

    • This field is not available if Specific Items was selected in the previous step.

  9. Specify the minimum and maximum quantities for this component in the Min and Max fields, respectively.

    • For example, if the Min field value is set to 2, then the customer must select two of the listed products for this bundled component.

  10. Select Add Products to choose the specific items to include on the product list. If Use Tags was selected in step 8, proceed to step 12.

    • From the Add Products to Bundle Component window, select the products.

    • Select Add # Items.

    • For steps on how to filter the product list, see Filter the Product List below.

  11. The Products section lists the items included in this bundle component.

    • Select and drag the control to the left of each product to sort the products in the desired sequence.

    • In the Default Quantity field, type the item quantity to add to the customer’s order by default.

    • Toggle Enabled to Yes if the item is currently available with this bundle component.

    • Select X to remove a product from the list.

  12. From the lower-right, select Save & Close to save the record and close the Component Options window.

    • The Save & Close dropdown includes the option Save & Assign Sites. Select this option to open an editor to assign the bundle component to one or more sites.

Define Component Options

To define options for an item offer component:

  1. Select New Bundle Component. The Component Options form opens.

  2. From the Component Type field, select Item Offer.

  3. In the Label field, type a name for the bundle component.

  4. Set the Enabled toggle to On if this component is currently available for the bundle.

  5. (optional) In the Description field, type a description of the component.

  6. In the Offer Question field, type a question for the order taker to ask the customer at the Ordering application. For example, "Would you like to add an Ice Cream?"

  7. From the Destinations dropdown, select the allowed order destinations for this component.

    • For example, if the component is only available when the product is ordered for Eat In, only select the Eat In order destination.

    • All order destinations are selected by default.

Add Products

To select products for an item offer:

  1. From the Item Selection Type field, select Manual Selection.

  2. From the Products Tagged With dropdown, select the product tag(s).

  3. In the Min field, type the minimum number of products quantity for the offer. The default is 1.

  4. In the Max field, type the maximum product quantity for the offer. The default is 1.

  5. From the Products field, configure the specific products to include in the item offer.

    • Select and drag the control to the left of the listed products to sort them in the desired sequence.

    • In the Default Quantity field, type the default quantity of the respective product to include in the offer. The defined quantity cannot exceed the Max value defined in step 4.

    • Set the Enabled toggle to Yes to enable the product for the offer.

    • Select Add Products to add additional products to the product list.

Assign to Products

On the Assigned to page, select the products that trigger the item offer at the Ordering application.

To assign the item offer to products:

  1. From the pane on the left, select Assigned to.

  2. Select Assign to Products.

  3. From the Add products to Bundle Component window, select the products that trigger the item offer at the Ordering application.

  4. Select Add Item(s).

  5. Select Save to save the item offer.

  1. From the Item Selection Type field, select Menu Category.

  2. From the Menu Category dropdown, select the menu category.

  3. In the Min field, type the minimum number of products quantity for the offer. The default is 1.

  4. In the Max field, type the maximum product quantity for the offer. The default is 1.

  5. From the Products field, configure the specific products to include in the item offer.

    • In the Default Quantity field, type the default quantity of the respective product to include in the offer. The defined quantity cannot exceed the Max value defined in step 4.

    • Set the Enabled toggle to Yes to enable the product for the offer.

Assign to Products

On the Assigned to page, select the products that trigger the item offer at the Ordering application.

To assign the item offer to products:

  1. From the pane on the left, select Assigned to.

  2. Select Assign to Products.

  3. From the Add products to Bundle Component window, select the products that trigger the item offer at the Ordering application.

  4. Select Add Item(s).

  5. Select Save to save the item offer.
