The following describes the settings on the Bump page of the Kitchen Screen Settings editor.
Select options related to bumping orders from kitchen displays. | |
Identify the order states the kitchen staff is allowed to bump from the kitchen displays. | |
Bump Upstream Screens refer to displays from which orders are bumped automatically when the same order is bumped from this display. |
Bumping Options
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Print On Bump | Toggle Yes to print a kitchen ticket at the local printer when an order is bumped. |
Printer | This field is only available when Print On Bump is toggled Yes. From the dropdown, select the printer for this screen. The selected printer prints tickets that are routed to this screen. |
Print Template | This field is only available when Print On Bump is toggled Yes. From the dropdown, select the print template to use for kitchen tickets printed from this screen. |
Print Item Label On Bump | Toggle Yes to enable sticky label printing for order items when an order is bumped from this screen. |
Printer for Item Label | This field is only available when Print Item Label On Bump is toggled Yes. From the dropdown, select the printer for order item label printing. |
Print Template for Item Label | This field is only available when Print Item Label On Bump is toggled Yes. From the dropdown, select the print template to use for order item labels printed from this screen. |
Send Bump Events | Toggle Yes to send order bump time data to XKM subscribers (or third-party integrators). Order "bump time" is the time it takes to bump an order from the kitchen screen once it is received from the POS. Bump time data is used to calculate speed-of-service reports. |
Auto Recall Bumped Items | Toggle Yes to recall bumped items when a new item is added or an existing item is modified. |
Allowed Bump States
From the Allowed Bump States section, identify the order states that the kitchen staff is allowed to bump from the screen.
For each allowed order state, set the toggle to Yes. For example, to allow the kitchen staff to bump Voided orders, toggle Voided to Yes.
Bump Upstream Screens
Bump Upstream Screens refer to displays from which orders are bumped automatically when the same order is bumped from this display.
To identify the Bump Upstream Screens for this display:
From the Bump Upstream Screens section, select Add Screens .
From the Add Screens window, select the Bump Upstream Screens.
Select Add # Screens.
Define Bump Upstream Screen Settings
To define settings for a Bump Upstream Screen:
From the Bump Upstream Screens section, select the screen.
From the Actions dropdown, select Edit.
From the Bump Behavior dropdown, select the desired bump behavior:
Entire Order - Apply upstream bump rule against the entire order or session.
Matching Items Only - Only apply upstream bump rule against matching items bumped from the downstream screen.
(Optional) Add order source restrictions. The kitchen staff will only be able to bump orders from the selected order sources. If no order sources are selected, then the kitchen staff can bump all order sources from this display.
From the menu pane on the left of the Bump Upstream window, select Order Source Restrictions.
Select Add Order Sources.
From the Add Order Sources window, select the order sources for this display.
In the lower-right of the Add Order Sources window, select Add Order Sources.
In the lower-right of the Bump Upstream window, select Done.
